Chocolate Superfood Pudding

Today's breakfast/post workout treat is a new recipe I decided to try, because I was craving pudding! When your first meal is a decedent dessert that is as healthy as a fresh pressed green juice (if not healthier), you know you're living life right.

If you know me at all then you know I don't believe in deprivation. I believe every single meal you eat should be nourishing and satisfying. That is how you create lasting habits -through enjoyment. Being a plant based vegan who loves living a healthy lifestyle means a little creativity is involved in the kitchen. But if you're like me, you don't like to spend hours in the kitchen for one meal that you'll scarf down in five minutes. My meals need to be quick, healthy, and fucking delicious. That is exactly what this meal is.

This quick meal is made in minutes. It's perfect to make right when you wake up, so you can chill it while you get ready for your day. I like to make it, throw it in the fridge then begin my yoga/workout practice. Yes, I fast in the morning -my first meal is always consumed after my morning workout. Okay, enough rambling. Here's what you've been waiting for... THE RECIPE (duh!).

Superfood Pudding Recipe:
1 ripe banana
1 avocado
1 scoop Vegan Chocolate Shakeology
(this is my superfoods - click here to learn more!)
Water/Cashew milk
(or non-dairy milk of choice) to desired consistency
.................................
BLENDDDDDDDD
until you get a pudding consistency, adding water/milk as needed
Chill for an hour

Voila! Wasn't so hard, huh? Yes, that's right. Eating HEALTHY is EASY and should be FUNNNNN. If you want to learn more about my lifestyle, what's in my daily wellness tool bag, and my coaching services, check out my website.  I have several ebooks, wellness packages, tips & inspiration for YOU. The Power of Routine

I want to briefly mention the power of routine. We all have routines. Some of them cause stress and some of them keep us calm & cool. But any routine sets the tone for our day, how we handle stress, and our interactions with people.
Is your routine to wake up as late as possible (or wake up on time and waste it on your phone), check your phone (like you are right now  then run around like broccoli with its head cut off ‪#‎VeganVersions‬? Do you see how that sets the tone for a frantic and stressful day? You're beginning your day with anxiety.
My spiritual guru, Abraham Hicks, says the best way to deal with stress & adversity is to do so BEFORE it even happens. That means take care of YOU, man.

My morning routine involves waking up early, making some hot tea, lighting a candle or putting lavender my oil diffuser, reading some personal development, and meditating. That is what it takes for me to start my day right and carry that positive energy throughout the day. You can throw in working out, like me, but only after all this is done.  That is when I feel ready for the day. And the way I feel doing this routine rather than my other routine mentioned above is the reason I do it. I make sure I'm happy first before I go out into the world.
You should try it sometime. Give yourself 7 days of following a routine through and keep note of the difference in how you feel. So what if you have to wake up earlier? Put in your big girl or boy panties and take care of your damn self. You deserve it.
Tips to establish a routine:
  • Wake up an hour earlier -I know, you like your sleep. We all do. But I promise you, life is meant to be lived. So just do it, okay?
  • No facebook, instagram, email, or any other social media platform or electronic source until you've taken some YOU time. Scrolling your newsfeed doesn't count. In fact, stay off your phone for at least an hour. Life isn't meant to bel lived through the screen on your phone, either.
  • Meditate for 5-10 min! Just sit and quite your mind (easy to do in the morning) and focus on your breathing for a few minutes. If this is too difficult, I give you permission to download the headspace app and use it, but ONLY for meditation purposes. Don't get sucked in. The headspace app is AMAZING for anyone wanting to learn to meditate and who needs a guided meditation.
  • Drink tea
  • Light a candle, incense, or drop some oil in your diffusor
  • Get a personal development book or find your favorite personal development podcast and start your day with inspiration from successful, wise, and beautiful souls!
  • Read Miracle Morning if you really want to establish a morning routine that sets your soul on fire. Feel free to click HERE to get $5. *Note my coupon code can only be used once and works only if you don't have the amazon app yet*
  • Get some exercise -once you've cleared your mind and set the tone for a peaceful day, kick up the energy with a workout. This will help you handle stress, combat depression/anxiety, gain entry, improve focus throughout your work/school day, and so so much more. I don't care if you're going on a walk, doing some light yoga, dancing, or lifting some serious weight. Just do something! • Start your day with a delicious smoothie, superfoods, or lots of fruit! Starting your day with raw foods gives you energy and is so good for your mental, spiritual, and physical health! Click here to download my free ebook and learn more.

Discover Your Desires

It's my first blog post!

And BECAUSE it is my first post, I wanted to kick it off by discussing desires!

Why? Because this blog is all about helping YOU learn how to live the most kick ass, healthiest, happiest, passionate, abundant life possible. And in order to live that kind of life, it all starts with knowing what you desire.

Most people are living on default. They go through life living, but not really living. We all think we know what we want, but do we really?

"Sure, I know what I want! I'm fat and I don't want to be fat. I'm tired and I don't want to be tired. I'm broke and I don't want to be broke. I'm unhappy, stressed, anxious, depressed, tight on time... and I don't want to be any of those things!"

Well, congratulations. You just listed all of the things you do NOT desire. And guess what? That is a GREAT starting point, but knowing what you don't want isn't going to help you manifest the things that you do want.

See, when you focus on all you don't have or do have but don't want, you only get more of those things. Why? Few reasons:
  • The universe doesn't respond to "yes" or "no." The universe responds to the signals you are putting out. By putting your focus on unwanted things, your signals scream those things. And, as you know, like attracts like.
  • When you focus on all you don't want, you're FOCUSING ON ALL YOU DON'T WANT. So you are looking for more reasons why you don't want it. And guess what? You're going to get what you look for.
It is crucial for you to know all that you DO desire. It is also important for you to know that all you desire is possible. I repeat: ALL YOU DESIRE IS POSSIBLE. And by knowing what it is you desire, you can then make actions steps to get you physically, mentally, and spiritually ready for the manifestation of your desires. It is a beautiful and fun process.

Discovering Your Desires
Get out a piece of pen and paper, you can do this right now!
  1. First, I want you to accept the contrast of life that helps you discover what you don't want -what life does when it hands you lemons is it helps you realize that what you really want are strawberries.  You know the quote: If you want rainbows, there has to be rain. So rather than seeing problems for which you need a solution, see questions for which you are seeking answers. When the contrast of life happens, rather than saying," Oh poor me, this is all happening to me!" ask, "What is life teaching me right now?"
  2. Decide from this what it is that you DO want... and get SPECIFIC. The universe like specificities. Do you want these strawberries to be large, ripe, and sweet? How many strawberries do you want? Or maybe what you really wanted was a strawberry banana smoothie.  Write out the things that you do want. On each line write: "I want...."
  3. Rewrite the things that you do want as if you already have them. "I am healthy and vibrant." "I am at peace." "I have a successful and abundant business."Affirmations are life, man. Repeat these things to yourself day in and day out. Read them every single day. Become an affirmation god(dess).

Now that you know what it is you desire, you can begin to create and implement an action plan. Very quickly: an action plan shouldn't just be all of the things you think you NEED to do and then you slaving day in and day out until you have achieved your desires. Yes, it should include daily tasks that need to be done to move you closer to your goal. But your action plan should also include: daily personal development, getting your mind in the right place first thing in the morning (and maybe that includes a morning exercise routine and mediation practice), positive affirmations, and of course, having fun. By making sure you are having fun, you are decreasing you resistance to inspirations and manifestation.
